Our Care

We provide compassionate end-of-life care, guide and comfort the grieving and educate our community.

Founded in 1976, HospiceCare of Boulder and Broomfield Counties is a private, nonprofit agency dedicated to improving end-of-life care. For those who are in the final season of their lives, HospiceCare provides the treatment and support necessary for physical, emotional and spiritual well-being. Life-enriching services are offered in homes, assisted living and skilled nursing facilities, hospitals, and in the HospiceCare of Boulder and Broomfield Counties' Care Center.

The vision of HospiceCare of Boulder and Broomfield Counties is to serve all persons living with terminal illness, their families, their caregivers, and those affected by death and dying in the community; to support patient comfort, dignity and choices; to be a leading resource in clinical, ethical, and spiritual issues of dying and grief; and to create partnerships with other providers in response to the changing health care environment.

HospiceCare is available to people with any type of illness, not just cancer. Diagnoses may include, for example, end-stage heart, lung, live, kidney, or neurological diseases, cancer or AIDS.

HospiceCare is paid for by Medicare, Medicaid, private insurances of private pay. We serve all regardless of ability to pay. Philanthropic support enables us to cover the cost of care that insurances don’t cover.

Our services are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and include:

"The whole hospice experience was incredibly effective and deeply appreciated. I just wish we had known about the concept and program much earlier." — Hospice family member
