Grieving children and teens often act out their grief. Grades may drop. They may become angry or explosive, withdraw socially, or regress. When these natural responses aren’t recognized as signs of grief, it becomes more difficult for them to cope effectively.
Healing Circles provides safe, empowering environments to help children, teens, and their families integrate grief into their lives at their own pace. Support is available throughout the year, open to the community, and beneficial at any point in the grief process.
Our experienced master’s level therapists and highly trained volunteers also offer guidance for families anticipating a death, school-based support groups, and consultations, presentations, trainings and debriefings for school personnel and others who work with youth.
